At Laser Labs Games CIC ("us", "we", or "our") we want to make simple and fun apps to help educators and scientists to engage the general public. This short document explains what kind of data is collected by our apps and our website, what happens to it, and what it is used for.

By accessing any web page on the laserlabs.org domain (hereafter referred as the "website") or by downloading, updating or running any official version of the Pocket Block Hole, Space Time Quest, Stretch and Squash or Black Hole Master applications (hereafter referred to as the "apps"), you are consenting to this Privacy Policy. By using our apps or our website, you agree to the processing of your data in accordance with this privacy policy. If you do not agree to this privacy policy and the practices described herein, please do not access and / or use the apps or the website.

We may amend this privacy policy from time to time by posting a new version online so please review it frequently. Your continued use of our apps and our website after the posting of a new version is deemed as your acceptance of the modified terms.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, do contact us so we can remove such data.

What information do we collect?

Our apps and website itself do not collect personal information, namely information that identifies you. For example, there is no registration to use our apps or website, and we do not know your name or contact information. However, we may receive other information regarding how you access and use the apps, for example, a game score and the IP address of your device. In addition, third parties may collect information automatically when you interact with the website (website provider) or our apps (Unity 3D), the details are provided below.

Information you provide to us:

We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us. For example, we will collect your name and email address when you contact us through the contact form on our website or via email. We may communicate with you if you’ve provided us the means to do so. For example, if you’ve given us your email address, we may email you about your use of the apps or website.

Information we collect automatically:

Our website: Whenever you interact with our website, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser or device, which may include your IP address, date and time of access and the type of browser and/or device you’re using to access the website. However, we do not use 'cookies' or any advanced analytics service such as Google Analytics.

We do not store credit card information. In order to process donations via credit card payments, we use the services of a secure third-party credit card processor (Stripe).

Pocket Black Hole: The app dos not collect any personal information. The live camera feed is not recorded, the screenshots are stored locally on your device and cannot be accessed by our app. When you visit the ligo.org page from the link provided in the game we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser or device, which may include the IP address of your device.

Stretch and Squash: The app does not collect any personal information. When you visit the ligo.org page from the link provided in the game we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser or device, which may include the IP address of your device.

Space Time Quest: The app dos not collect any personal information. In order post your high-score in the leaderboard on our sever we record your score and your chosen in-game nickname. We also receive information on our server logs from your browser or device, which may include the IP address of your device.

Black Hole Master: The app dos not collect any personal information. When you visit the laserlabs.org page from the link provided in the game we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser or device, which may include the IP address of your device.

Third parties library: Unity

Our apps make use of the Unity 3D game engine ('Unity'). Unity may collect a hardware and software profile of your device, see https://hwstats.unity3d.com/. The complete Unity privacy policy can be read at https://unity3d.com/legal/privacy-policy. You may prevent Unity from collecting this data by using a firewall software, or by always using the apps offline.

How will we use the data we collect?

We use automatically collected information to provide our services, activities or online content to you. We use the personal information provided by you to deal with your requests and enquiries, to analyse and improve our website and our apps and to respond to any comments, or queries you may have.

We may share aggregate and anonymous information with other third parties or with the public, for example to showcase the number of users of our apps.

How and where will we store the data?

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work one of our service providers. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing.

We follows generally accepted industry standards and maintain reasonable safeguards to attempt to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the information in our possession. However, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of that information during its transmission or its storage on our systems.
